eBay is making several changes to its Feedback Removal policy. Their explanation of the changes follows.
On the Feedback Removal policy page, under "Circumstances where eBay will consider removing feedback," the "transaction period" referred to for requests to remove feedback for false contact information is 90 days from the end of the listing, or 30 days from the date the feedback was left.
An additional circumstance that qualifies a comment for feedback removal has been added: Feedback left by a person who was ineligible to participate in the eBay marketplace at the time they left the feedback is eligible for removal. For example, this could apply if a suspended member registers a new account under a different User ID and then leaves feedback. It could also apply if an underage user is using the site without parental supervision. In both of these cases, the person leaving the feedback is ineligible to leave feedback, so any feedback left would be eligible for removal.
Feedback left in relation to an illegal item may be removed if the item is verified by law enforcement to be illegal. We want to clarify that the item must be an illegal item, and not just an item that violates an eBay policy.
