eBay Holds Annual Financial Analyst Day
eBay held its annual "financial analyst conference" Wednesday in which it outlined its strategy for growth. eBay reaffirmed its financial guidance for 2003 and 2004 and provided a long-term view of its business. "eBay is and always will be dedicated to its community," said Meg Whitman, president and CEO of eBay. "The fact that we continue to empower millions of people to thrive in an open marketplace gives me tremendous confidence in the future of the business." eBay also reaffirmed its 2005 revenue goal of $3 billion, not including incremental PayPal revenues.

eBay Announces Cross-Promo Tool for Stores
eBay said it will release a powerful new cross-promotions tool for eBay Store sellers in early November. Store sellers will have the opportunity to use cross-promotion on all of their Item pages, in addition to their Bid Confirmation and Purchase Confirmation pages.

eBay Releases New Version of Turbo Lister Tool for Sellers
eBay released a new version of its Turbo Lister bulk listing tool for sellers. The new version includes support for the new Pre-Filled Item Information feature, One-day Listings and Item Subtitle. This release also includes international support for Enhanced Item Specifics and Combined Payments, as well as several bug fixes and other enhancements.

eBay "Easy to Buy" Holiday Promotion Kicks off Thursday
As previously announced, eBay will kick off a special holiday promotion. From October 30 through December 18, eBay will be promoting a special area where all the products are new, can be purchased using Buy It Now and PayPal, and come with $500 PayPal Buyer Protection. In order to list items in this area, sellers must meet certain qualifications, including having 50+ feedback points with 98% of them positive, and having a Business or Premier PayPal account.
