DOUA Launches Program to Jumpstart Disabled eBay Sellers

The Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA) announced a program to help disabled individuals achieve steps toward financial independence as online auction sellers.

"Our goal at DOUA is to help the differently-abled become self-sufficient and independent," said Marjie Smith, Founder of DOUA and moderator of the DOUA Message Board at AuctionEthics.com. "If you're disabled and would like to start your own online business, we can help."

Qualified participants, who include legally disabled persons already registered at www.eBay.com but who have not yet listed more than 5 auctions, will receive these materials:

  • 5 products to list on eBay
  • 1 diskette containing digital photos of the items
  • Available support from an assigned mentor via telephone and email

Program participants must post links to the resulting eBay auctions on the DOUA Message Board and may be asked to provide support for program newcomers. For further information, visit the DOUA Message Board .
