Sellathon Corporation launched a new tool that allows eBay sellers to conduct in-depth visitor analysis. ViewTracker is a tracking device for eBay auctions that allows eBay sellers to see in real-time when visitors arrive, the words they searched for to find the listing, which categories they searched in and how they sorted the results. The tool also allows sellers to see visitors' personal search preferences, whether they placed a bid or not, if they're watching the auction from their "My eBay" page and where they live.
"Sellers, who increasingly rely on eBay for their livelihood, are going to demand the data they need to make proper marketing decisions, not just the number of visitors they've received," said Sellathon CEO Wayne Yeager.
Yeager said Web site owners have had access to visitor data for years, and there's an entire industry built around optimizing Web sites based on it. But without access to visitor data, eBay sellers have been left to guess the best way to reach their audience. Yeager said he hopes to bring that era to an end.
Sellathon is offering a free introductory trial of ViewTracker.
