eBay said a change it recently made to its Checkout (Pay Now) feature is causing some PayPal buyers to unintentionally pay with an unconfirmed address. eBay changed the page that buyers are taken to when they use the Pay Now button from a completed listing. The new page allows them to select shipping addresses from their eBay account, as well as their stored addresses from their PayPal accounts.
PayPal does not offer sellers chargeback protection when sending items to unconfirmed addresses. eBay said it is working on improved instructions to the new Pay Now review page to instruct buyers use their confirmed PayPal address.
