eBay said sellers will be able to offer bidders an incentive to purchase items by offering them "anything points." The points will cost sellers one cent per point.

Sellers can offer up to five Anything Points per dollar of the final sale price on each listing. Anything Points only work when the buyer uses PayPal to purchase the item.

eBay introduced the Anything Points program in May, and last month introduced a new Mastercard credit card that allows eBay users to earn Anything Points with every purchase.

Buyers accumulate Anything Points when they use PayPal to purchase items; Anything Points accumulate in their PayPal account and can be used toward eBay purchases or to pay eBay Seller Fees. Buyers can also convert loyalty points from certain partners, such as airlines or hotels, into "Anything Points."
