Job Seekers Targeted in ID Theft Scam

Job seekers should be alert to a new scam that steals identities through fake job listings, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal by Kaja Whitehouse. The scam is similar to one AuctionBytes previously reported on in which eBay sellers are recruited for fake sales positions (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y03/m04/i21/s01). Be very suspicious of any job that involves wire-transferring funds. The old advice applies, "if it looks too good to be true, it usually is."
