eBay announced it has enhanced its Stores in Canada and Australia and will institute monthly fees for Storeowners in January. eBay already charges monthly fees for its U.S. eBay.com Stores.
In early January 2004, eBay Canada Stores will cost: Basic (C$9.95/month), Featured ($49.95/month) and Anchored, ($299.95/month). Storeowners not wishing to pay the monthly fees should close their eBay Store before January 6, 2004.
eBay Canada's announcement said if a Store has been inactive for more than 90 days it will be automatically closed and Storeowners will not be charged. Storeowners wanting to reactivate their Stores should list an item before January 6, 2004.
In Australia, The new subscription fees for Stores is Basic (AU$9.95 / Month), Featured (AU$49.95 / Month) and Anchored (AU$299.95 / Month).
