Auction Site Bid4Assets Announces Charitable Giving Program
By Ina Steiner AuctionBytes.com December 17, 2003
Bid4Assets, Inc., a leading online auction site for high-end assets from government, non-profits and private industry, announced its online Charitable Giving Program. In lieu of donating cash this year, users can sell an item on Bid4Assets’ Auction Site and have some or all of the proceeds go to the charity of choice.
Ideal items to auction include jewelry, artwork, collectibles, electronics, computers, antiques, inventory, coins, stamps, timeshares and parcels of land. Hundreds of charities participate in Bid4Assets Charitable Giving Program, including American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Once the charity receives a donation from Bid4Assets, the charity will send a receipt to the seller. All donations are tax-deductible.
Each time an item is sold through the Program, Bid4Assets will also donate up to .25% of the winning bid amount to the charity selected.
