Online-auction news briefs for December 17, 2003.
- Amazon had some performance issues affecting the Auctions area of the Web site:
- New auctions posted since December 11 are currently not searchable.
- Older auctions remain searchable even if ended.
- Some sold auctions listings are delayed in updating from "open" to "sold" within Seller Accounts.
Amazon's announcement said they expected the problem to be fixed around midday PST on December 16, no updates were posted by Wednesday morning.
- eBay said Tuesday it would roll out a new search feature called "suggested search" in the next few days.
