Users of Microsoft's Outlook email client can send emails containing PayPal buttons that act just like a PayPal button on a Web site. Recipients can click the button in the email to make a payment using PayPal, the online payment service eBay acquired in 2002.
PayPal Payment Wizard for Outlook was created by the PayPal Developer Network in collaboration with Microsoft Consulting Services. Users can download the "wizard" program, which plugs into the Outlook toolbar. There is no charge for downloading or using the PayPal Payment Wizard for Outlook, and senders do not need to know HTML to use the wizard. Senders have a choice of requesting payment for a product, service, auction payment or donation, or a basic button.
The tool launched in 2003 and works with Microsoft Outlook. PayPal spokesperson Amanda Pires said there is a beta version for Outlook Express users expected to launch in the second quarter of this year.
