eBay reminded users that fee changes announced in mid-January take effect today, February 2. Many of the fees are increasing on eBay. For items with a starting price of between $1 and $9.99, it will cost an extra 5 cents (35 cents) to list on eBay.com. For items with a starting price of $500 and up (a new category in eBay's fee structure), it will cost $1.50 more to list ($4.80).

Meanwhile Yahoo Auctions announced last week that it is holding a Free Listing Day today. Yahoo Auctions' normal listing fee for items with a starting price up to $9.99 is 5 cents, and 75 cents for items with a selling price over $50. For 1 day only, listing fees will be waived.
