Yesterday AuctionBytes reported that eBay is changing its music category structure and will remove all lower level categories. eBay has announced it will do the same to the movie category. Beginning in mid-March, the lower levels of the Movie category structure will be removed. Sellers will list items in the DVD, VHS, Film, or Laserdisc categories, and additional product details can be indicated on the listing through Item Specifics.
Item Specifics is an eBay feature that allows sellers to provide additional item details during the selling process. Buyers can search using these item details in addition to regular Title search and Description Search. For users' reactions to the changes, see the forum discussion on eBay:
