Over the next few months, eBay will introduce a new billing system for seller fees. Members will only be able to access their invoices for the past 18 months. eBay sellers who wish to keep copies of invoices older than 18 months should print them out from the current system.
Under the new system, invoices will display item titles, in addition to item numbers, and sellers will be able to sort account activity by item number or fee type. eBay said the new system will also change the way it bills for subscriptions. If you have an existing subscription, you will see an adjustment charge on your first new invoice (similar to how a first phone bill works). For more information on these changes, and to see examples of our new features, please see eBay's Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.ebay.com/help/account/gb_billing_faq.html).
eBay warned sellers it would not send any emails asking sellers to take action. "Should you receive such a request, please regard it as a suspicious email. Do not reply or click on links contained in the email, and please forward it to spoof@ebay.com." For more information, please eBay's Spoof Tutorial (http://pages.ebay.com/education/spooftutorial).
eBay is also making some changes to the Sell Your Item form in the next few weeks. Some of the changes include New Item page preview (now sellers can see a preview of what their listing will look like before submitting it); redesigned HTML text editor (an easier tab interface lets sellers easily switch between the standard view and the HTML view); and ability for sellers to bypass Reserve price and Private Auction options.
