Career site Monster.com will promote its career services on eBay to help small businesses recruit and hire qualified employees, the company announced on Wednesday. "Hiring qualified employees is crucial to growing a business. Monster can help small businesses on eBay do this efficiently and cost-effectively," said Jeff Taylor, founder of Monster.com.

Monster will offer special job packages and will run a $10,000 sweepstakes event running from February 19, 2004 through April 15, 2004. Monster will also serve as the title sponsor of eBay Live conference and eBay University classes and will provide sessions on career planning and hiring for small businesses. Monster will also have a presence on the eBay homepage, and Monster banners will appear throughout the eBay Web site.

eBay has a special portal page for businesses at http://business.ebay.com
