Alibris announced its filing of an S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering for its common stock. All of the shares are to be sold by the company.

Alibris operates an online marketplace for used and hard-to-find books. The company connects independent booksellers with book buyers from around the world. The company's proprietary technology and specialized logistics allow it to offer used, new and hard-to-find titles to retail and business customers. The public offering will be made only by means of a prospectus, which, when available, may be obtained by going to the SEC Web site at www.sec.gov.
