eBay's Security Guru to Advise e-Security Inc.

e-Security, Inc., a provider of security management software, appointed Howard A. Schmidt to its newly formed advisory board. Schmidt is currently the vice president of security at eBay and is the former White House cyber security advisor. Schmidt currently serves on the Information Security Privacy Advisory Board to advise the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Secretary of Commerce and the director of the Office of Management and Budget on information security and privacy issues.

e-Security Inc. works with large enterprises, government organizations, and managed security service providers to help them increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their security operations and improve compliance with security policies.

Schmidt will be speaking at an e-Security online event, "Securing Against the Unknown," on April 21.
