New eBay Security Feature Mandatory by May 1st
eBay is requiring all certified developers to implement its new Authentication and Authorization Program by May 1, 2004. The new program is designed so eBay members do not have to give their passwords to third-party vendors. The new system relies on tokens, which expire after 18 months.
Under the new system, eBay members who sign up for a third-party service from an eBay-certified developer will be taken to the eBay sign-in page. Once signed in, eBay gives the seller a verification screen asking them if they are sure they want the vendor to be given a token to access different piece of information about that seller at the eBay site. If the seller agrees, eBay refreshes the token and the process is complete for another 18 months.

Relist Credit Glitch
eBay sellers should review their invoices carefully, some relisted items are not showing a credit for initial listing fees. If you have a listing that qualifies for credit but did not receive it, click on any help link at the top of any eBay page, click on "contact us." Then select the topic Ask about selling -> Billing and fees -> requesting a listing fee credit. You must include all item numbers including the original item number. eBay is reportedly working on to resolve the problem.

New eBay Billing System Starts Rolling Out
As announced in February, eBay is updating its billing system, and users will be transitioned to the new system over the next few months. Do not respond to any emails purporting to be from eBay about this, since there is no need to take any action and it may be a hoax email. http://www.ebay.com/help/account/gb_billing_faq.html
