Like a Celebrity Wedding, Payingfast.com Auction Is On Again

A service that allows consumers to purchase money orders using a credit card to pay for eBay items is up for sale - again.
Last month, Payingfast's owner put up the domain name up for auction on eBay for $5,000, but eBay removed the auction because it violated the auction site's fee circumvention policy. "We believe that the seller may have been attempting to get people to contact him directly to purchase the Web site, so we ended the listing," an eBay spokesperson said at the time.
PayingFast.com then put up the entire Payingfast service and site up for sale with a starting bid of $20,000, but hours later the seller removed the auction himself. Scott Rand, Payingfast president and founder, decided to continue operating Payingfast, once they took care of some "credit card merchant issues." Rand launched Payingfast in January 2001 and said it has 200,000 registered users.
The site has not been taking new orders since the on-again, off-again auctions commenced.
