Peribit Networks, a leader in WAN application performance, appointed eBay Chief Operating Officer Maynard Webb to its Board of Directors. Webb is the second independent director appointed to Peribit's seven member board.

Webb has a distinguished 22-year track record of technology and business management success. As eBay's COO, Webb is responsible for engineering and technology operations, as well as for the company's product development, customer support, trust and safety, global billing, and human resources. Prior to joining eBay, Webb was senior vice president and CIO at Gateway, Inc. He has also worked as CIO at Bay Networks and in technology operations at Quantum, Thomas Conrad, Figgie International, and IBM.
