ChannelAdvisor said its recent conference of some of eBay's largest sellers was a success. The Marathon conference took place May 12-13 in North Carolina, and over 100 eBay sellers attended. ChannelAdvisor provides auction and online marketplace management services to online merchants.
Marathon 2004 was devoted to online businesses, key marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon.com and shopping engines and portals including Shopping.com, FindWhat, Overture and MSN. The conference program featured a keynote from Art.com on technology, marketing and innovation. General sessions were held on eBay and eBay keywords, Inventory Control and Database Management, Merchandising and Branding, and eCommerce and Storefronts. In addition, there were panel discussions on Driving e-Commerce Traffic, Payment Processing and Fraud and The World’s Leading Marketplaces. Expert roundtable discussions focused on eBay Item Specifics, Branding, Non-Paying Bidder Management, Scheduling and Shipping.
At the conclusion of the conference, sellers returned home with new ideas on how to grow their businesses and an expanded network of contacts.
"Marathon 2004 was such a success we have already begun planning next year’s event and anticipate a sold-out event," said Scot Wingo, president and CEO of ChannelAdvisor.
