eBay drop-off store franchisor NuMarkets announced it has appointed Christopher Van Beke to Vice President of Franchise Operations.

"We are pleased Chris has joined our team, seems like every day another company is born in the eBay drop off consignment space," said Russ Grove President & CEO of NuMarkets. "In the early days of this industry to the outside world everyone is the same - but inside there is a clear separation occurring between a hobby, mom and pop operation and a business-industrial grade operation that can scale and generate substantial revenue streams. Marketing has covered up the difference, as time goes on results will soon be the instrument of pack break away of the market leaders. Chris's role is strategic to work with our franchise owners to generate those results."

Van Beke worked for ReturnBuy and was responsible for developing new revenue streams, strategic partnership development, operations effectiveness in the consumer electronics returns industry. ReturnBuy was a liquidator and top eBay seller that filed for bankruptcy in 2003.

Prior to joining ReturnBuy, Chris worked for Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc. and Goldman Sachs & Co. Chris holds a MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business and a BA from University of Pennsylvania.
