eBay announced Wednesday that it won't be closing its subsidiary Half.com on July 13. Instead, eBay is extending the closing date until October 14. eBay said sellers wanted to continue selling on Half through the back-to-school season.

"Extending the transition period will allow sellers to maximize their sales during this back-to-school season, as well as give them additional time to transition their businesses to eBay," the announcement read.
