Monster, the leading global online careers site and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide Inc, announced its title sponsorship of eBay Live!, an annual conference of eBay users, employees and guest speakers. eBay Live! will be held June 24th - 26th, 2004 in New Orleans.

Through dozens of workshops, seminars and other events, eBay Live! attendees share their experiences using the site, connect with other passionate eBay community members, and learn ways to use the site more effectively.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Monster will offer two seminars during eBay Live! to educate eBay small business owners on hiring the best employees. In addition, Monster will host a booth at the show and sponsor the Gala Night event (a closing-night dinner and awards ceremony) and the PowerSeller Lounge (a special area of the convention floor exclusively for eBay's top sellers) at eBay Live!.

The seminars that Monster will offer at eBay Live include:

  In this seminar, Monster teaches small business owners how to understand the marketplace; position their companies to attract and retain the best talent, assess candidates, write effective employment ads; and utilize the partnership between eBay and Monster to post job ads at a discounted rate.

  In this seminar, Monster teaches small business owners how to be more efficient and cost-effective at recruiting the right candidates; become more comfortable and skilled when interviewing; and leverage the entire interview process to help them find the best candidate to grow their business.

Earlier this year, Monster announced a strategic marketing agreement with eBay. As part of that agreement, Monster's industry-leading career services are promoted on eBay to help small businesses recruit and hire qualified employees, giving Monster prominent exposure to eBay's large base of users. Small businesses, a valued group within the larger eBay community, actively sell and buy for their businesses on eBay. In addition, eBay receives prominent exposure throughout the Monster site helping attract visitors to the eBay site.
