CORESense Integrates UPS OnLine Tools for eBay Powersellers

CORESense, a leading provider of retail management software, today announced it has integrated UPS OnLine Tools within its retail management solutions to improve the process by which eBay PowerSellers manage multi-channel sales activities. Additionally, CORESense solutions are compatible with UPS WorldShip.

A demonstration of the new CORESense solution with UPS shipping can be seen at the eBay Live! 2004 Community Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, June 24 – 26 in booth #328.

CORESense is responding to a critical need among small and midsize businesses (SMBs), many of whom are PowerSellers, for a comprehensive retail management system designed specifically to handle multi-channel sales. CORESense brings together inventory and supplier management, order fulfillment, customer relationship management, promotions and analytics in a single application. CORESense solutions streamline the manner in which online product sales are handled – regardless whether they originate from eBay, a company’s proprietary web site or another channel – enabling retailers to sell through multiple channels more effectively.

The CORESense product with UPS shipping helps customers minimize the administrative burden on a retailer’s staff, while providing consumers a self-service tool for managing orders from inception through delivery.

For example, consumers ordering products from a retailer’s web site or eBay can view what it will cost to ship a package. CORESense automatically calculates the shipping rate using the UPS Rate and Service Selection Tool. The entire process is transparent to the consumer.

In the BackOffice, customer order information is captured by CORESense and transferred to UPS WorldShip, which produces a shipping label and tracking number. UPS WorldShip sends the tracking information back to CORESense, and an email including this data is sent to the customer. In the retailer’s shipping department, the shipping label is affixed to the package and the order is shipped to the customer. By streamlining the transfer of data from CORESense to UPS WorldShip and back, a retailer’s administrative staff is spared the task of entering the same customer data into multiple systems.

3balls.com, Inc., a leading online direct retailer and PowerSeller of used and like-new golf equipment, is one of many retailers now leveraging the CORESense – UPS solution.

"An integrated solution is more efficient because we don't have to key order information into two separate systems,” said Doug Smith, director of Business Development at 3balls.com. "If we had to do manually what CORESense and UPS do automatically, it would require the efforts of one person working two-to-three hours a day, depending on order volume. With CORESense and UPS, this time and cost is saved, and the customer experience is improved."

"The integration of CORESense solutions with UPS OnLine Tools and WorldShip is a huge benefit to SMBs, enabling them to increase revenues across multiple sales channels and reduce operating costs by achieving efficiencies across the entire order lifecycle," said Jason Jacobs, CEO of CORESense. "As a leading retail management software company whose solutions help PowerSellers execute multi-channel sales strategies, its natural that CORESense would integrate shipping tools from UPS, the world's largest package delivery company."
