By Company-Issued Press Release

June 23, 2004

Oddcast, a company that develops and distributes conversational character software products, announced the launch of talking salespeople to help individuals sell on eBay. The newest feature is part of the company’s VHost SitePal product and has been branded Publish to eBay." This innovative technology uses animated talking salespeople to help communicate item listing features and drive increased sales. The VHost SitePal is an affordable, easy-to-use, Web-based software solution that helps small-to-medium sized businesses create talking characters for any Web site.

"eBay is all about peer to peer commerce; where trust and integrity play a crucial role in each transaction," stated Adi Sideman, CEO of Oddcast. "The ability for the seller to place her or his own voice and likeness on a listing page and communicate with potential buyers is a distinctive way to build trust, differentiate any auction and drive more sales."

Creating a talking salesperson is easy. Users log on to their SitePal account and choose from 20 different model styles. Everything on the salesperson, from clothes and hair to makeup, jewelry, and even age can be customized. Once the customization is complete, a background is chosen and audio is uploaded using recorded voice or text-to-speech. Then the user clicks "Publish to eBay," adjusts placement style and the talking salesperson is immediately embedded into the item listing.

"Not only is the VHost SitePal unique, but also the self-help tutorial is intuitive and easy-to-follow," stated Mel Bergman, eBay user and President of Bergman Enterprises. "The innovative talking salespeople have dramatically increased our sales and so I highly recommend using SitePal for each every sale on eBay."

Oddcast is certified and a member of the eBay Developers Program. Over 1500 small and medium sized businesses use SitePal to enrich the user experience, differentiate their offering and increase sales. SitePal is available for under $10 per month and can be purchased by logging on to http://www.sitepal.com.
