eBay said it will make improvements to search by adding a "Completed Items" search checkbox on the Basic Search page and on the basic "Stores Item Search" page. The later feature will allow users to search for completed listings from eBay Stores sellers as well as Stores inventory format only.
eBay said it will also add new capability to allow users to search for multiple quantity listings and lots; will add the ability to include or exclude sellers from the search results page with the main search functions on the Advanced Search page; and will add a simplified search interface for Finding Member information. eBay had already announced it would add a new "Search by Distance" feature to allow users to limit their search to items within 250, 500, 750, or 1000 miles from their ZIP code.
Finally, eBay will add the "Item Number" search box to the Advanced Search section of the site "in response to requests from the eBay Community," as well as the "Where is an item" feature. eBay will roll out the changes in about a month.
