eBay said it will make changes to its "Ask Seller a Question" and "Contact eBay Member" functionality. Sellers will have the option to display answers to Frequently Asked Questions on the item page. In addition, the email subject line will include information regarding the type of question, item number, and item title; Questions for items ending within 6 hours will be automatically flagged with high importance in a seller's inbox; and sellers will have the option to hide their email address for privacy reasons in their email response.
eBay is also adding a feature to the Sell Your Item form. Sellers will be able to create and store up to five customized text or HTML inserts and quickly add them to their item description. Sellers can easily create an insert and add it to future listings by clicking "Create an Insert" from the drop-down options on the new tool bar in the Item Description section of the Sell Your Item form. This insert is located below the Font Editors above the description box. eBay has provided some standard Inserts for use to help sellers get started.
