Auctiva Launches Tools for eBay Buyers

Auctiva has launched a new set of tools to help eBay buyers. Auctiva was founded in 1999 and offers sellers auction management and marketplace tools. This month, it launched Buying Manager, tools to help eBayers monitor, search and organize items they have purchased or are watching.

Buying Manager organizes items buyers are watching, searching and bidding on, with advanced features over "My eBay." For example, with Auctiva's Buying Manager, you can have an unlimited number of watched items. You can also run automatic searches, get email alerts and view the shipping cost, seller User ID and feedback rating in search results.

Special feature allows buyers to utilize "bid groups" and "contingent bidding." Bid groups works by allowing you to enter multiple auctions into Buying Manager's Bid Group system when you want to win one item. Buying Manager will then keep trying to win one of the items and will stop bidding once you have won one of the items at the price you wanted.

Contingency bidding allows you to bid on one item contingent upon your winning another. For instance, if you don't win the DVD player, you might not want to win the lot of 50 DVD movies. It can also help you benefit from combined shipping by buying items from a particular seller.

Buying Manager is a Web-hosted service. New users receive 2 weeks free and receive the first three auctions they win using Buying Manager for free after the 2-week free trial expires. After that, the charge is 1% of the final auction price with a minimum fee of 25 cents and a maximum fee of $5 for only auctions that are won.
