Online auction site Bid4Assets is cutting 50% off of its basic listing fee now through August 31, 2004. Sellers can list items for only $5 per auction for a basic listing. The basic listing option is the most popular on Bid4Assets and includes an auction listing page, weekly email alert and a thumbnail photo. All other promotional opportunities and commission fees remain the same. A $25 minimum commission applies.
Bid4Assets offers a buyer's premium option for sellers interested in off-setting commission fees. The buyer's premium can range from one percent up to a maximum of ten percent per auction and is paid by the buyer directly to the seller at the end of a successful auction.
Bid4Assets is encouraging sellers to list unique, higher-valued items such as artwork, collectibles, antiques, sports and entertainment memorabilia, luxury vehicles, jewelry, computer equipment, real estate and timeshares during this promotion. Bid4Assets reports it is experiencing a rising sell-through rate, over 50% higher than eBay.
