eBay launched an image-hosting service called Picture Manager that is integrated with the eBay site. eBay sellers may choose a monthly subscription plan based on storage size, with no additional fees for adding extra pictures to listings. In addition, the service offers User ID watermarks.
The cost to sellers is $9.99 per month for 50 MB of storage; $19.99 per month for 125 MB of storage; and $39.99 per month for 300 MB of storage. eBay Store owners receive discounted rates.
This is the latest offering from eBay that puts it in direct competition with its own licensed vendors.
