eBay drop-off store AuctionDrop announced it would begin servicing customers in Hawaii and Alaska through The UPS Store locations in those states. In June, AuctionDrop had announced a deal with the chain in which The UPS Stores would accept consignments on behalf the AuctionDrop service for its 3,400 locations in the continental United States.

NuMarkets said it launched a dedicated professional services organization designed to teach franchise and business owners how to sell items for the public on eBay. It is located in Etowah, Tennessee, under the leadership of a former University of Alabama Professor. NuMarkets also appointed to its Board of Directors Brenda McKenzie, who previously worked at Rent to Own Centers and Check Advance Companies.

Software company Infopia Inc. partnered with eBay drop-off store Auction Mills Inc. to launch eBay consignment technology. Auction Mills Marketplace Manager will be released in conjunction with the first round of Auction Mills stores scheduled to open in September. Infopia will power the engine for the Auction Mills Web site infrastructure.
