eBay Brands China Site

Reuters reported Thursday that eBay will create a mirror site of its Chinese EachNet auction site at eBay.com.cn, adding the site to its global network (http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=6253083). eBay acquired the company in stages over a 2-year period. eBay owns sites in North America, Europe and in Asia, including Korea, China, Taiwan and India. eBay left the Japanese market in 2002, acknowledging Yahoo's majority market share had made gaining a foothold for eBay difficult. It has never ruled out a return to Japan, however. A list of eBay's 23 global sites appears on the lower left corner of its home page.
