eDeal Changes Name, Announces Venture Funding & New Clients

eDeal Services Corp., provider of online marketplace solutions since 1998, has changed its corporate name to Truition Inc. The company also announced it has completed a second round of venture-backed financing worth approximately $8.2 million. Lead investors include VenGrowth Capital Partners Inc., JL Albright Venture Partners, and Scotiabank Private Equity Investments.

Truition also announced the acquisition of a number of key customers, including Revlon Cosmetics, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. and Golf Town, which join exisiting customers Dell Financial Services, CompUSA, Major League Baseball and others.

Truition creates multi-channel commerce offerings for organizations in industry sectors such as sports and memorabilia, computers, electronics, consumer goods, travel, and asset recovery. The company is based in Toronto with offices in Boston, London, England, and Frankfurt, Germany.

Truition's multi-channel commerce solutions are designed to give enterprise-level sellers easy, cost-effective access to leading online sales channels such as eBay and Amazon.com. The company also builds and manages private-branded auction and fixed price marketplaces on behalf of its client base.
