eBay Launches Program to Teach Users How to Teach eBay

eBay officially announced its "eBay Education Specialist" program to train users who want to learn how to teach eBay's Selling Basics course. eBay will host an Education Specialist directory on its site that lists members of the program.

The online training program costs $149 for the first year, and $49 per year thereafter. To remain a member in the program, users must pay the annual subscription and maintain a 75% positive feedback from students. eBay requires that at least 50% of the students fill out a feedback form, and that at least 75% of those comments are a positive rating.

Power U (http://www.poweru.net/ebay), owned and operated by American Research Institute (http://www.americanri.com), will deliver the training. American Research Institute is a small-business subcontractor, assisting large government integrators.

eBay has also licensed its name to Auction Advisor (http://www.auctionadvisor.com), which offers free 90-minute seminars around the country, and sells an "eBay University Business Builder" workshop for $1,995.
