eBay announced to third-party developers it is beginning a major project to improve its "Sandbox" and will phase in upgrades over the next several months. The Sandbox is a private area of eBay where third-party developers can test their applications without posting or affecting "real" listings.
On September 27, eBay will begin a major project to increase Sandbox stability and availability. For a period of up to 2 weeks during the upgrade, eBay said developers may experience intermittent problems with the Sandbox.
The upgrade includes improvements to major Sandbox features such as Search, Storefronts, Browse/Listings pages, viewing sellers' items, and issues with the GetSearchResults call.
