Some international PayPal users were concerned that a "fee-free day" offered by PayPal to U.S. and Canadian customers excluded them because of their location. One AuctionBytes reader from the UK wrote, "We suffered the same problems, we should have the same rewards."
On Thursday, PayPal spokesperson Amanda Pires said they are working on ways to thank their international customers. "PayPal teams in European countries are planning offers designed specifically for their customers in the upcoming weeks," she said.
The one day of fee-free service was offered to U.S. and Canadian users to apologize for the technology issues recently experienced by the PayPal site and to show appreciation to PayPal customers for their continued business. The intermittent technical problems affected PayPal users trying to access the site over a four-day period earlier this month.
