ChannelAdvisor Offers eBay 'Accelerator' Program for Enterprise Clients
By Ina Steiner AuctionBytes.com November 03, 2004
ChannelAdvisor, a provider of auction- and channel-management solutions, announced a new service for high-volume sellers. The Channel Accelerator program helps enterprises quickly establish a sales channel on eBay and develop their own expertise based on ChannelAdvisor's technology and best practices.
Through a phased approach led by an Account Manager, the program guides the client through each step of the process of implementing their new channel: set-up, development, launch and ramp of the client's eBay Store and training of internal employees on both ChannelAdvisor Merchant software and the eBay marketplace. In addition, the client is provided with on-going consultation and technical support.
A ChannelAdvisor client J.D. Morgan trades on eBay under the name jdmorgan. Its president Jay Mendikow said, "I had no experience in running a high-volume eBay business, and in four short months, the Channel Accelerator program helped me establish a professional eBay presence that will be a solid foundation for future growth. ChannelAdvisor expertise cut at least a year, maybe more, off the learning curve for me."
Accelerator is targeted at any company that wants ChannelAdvisor to help them get started on eBay, according to a spokesperson. Pricing varies based on customer's needs and duration of the "accelerator," typically 3-6 months following by an ongoing Merchant license. The standard cost for Accelerator is $5,000/month but depends on the needs of the customer and the complexity of what they want to do on eBay.
