QXL is holding four weeks of free listings on its UK online-auction site. The promotion began November 8. Sellers who list basic auctions on the site do not have to pay listing fees during the promotion. Commission fees still apply (http://www.qxl.co.uk/Contents/uk/help/cost.htm), see Web site for details and restrictions.
The site is also running a promotion for buyers for a chance to win a DVD player.
In unrelated news, the Independent newspaper speculates on a QXL buyout in this article.
