Each week, with data provided by Medved's Auction Counts, AuctionBytes will look back at the previous week's auction sell-through rate for eBay's top-level categories. Medved's compiles statistics on eBay auctions, monitoring eBay.com pages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1.5 hour intervals for their auction counts and sell-through statistics.

Medved calculates the sell-through statistics by taking a proprietary sampling of completed auction data. Data includes "Buy it Now" items as well as those items which have been purchased in the final moments of an auction.

Medved's also tracks the percentage of eBay auctions which receive bids in graph form at http://www.medved.net/cgi-bin/cal.exe?SIND
