eBay launched eBay Philippines (www.ebay.ph), a new localized Web site designed to allow individuals and small businesses in that country to trade goods and services online.
The new Web site is in English and allows members to buy and sell items using the Philippine peso. Listing and selling items is free on eBay.ph.
On Monday, a Philippine-based auction site called Bidshot.com told media site INQ7.net that they welcomed eBay's entry, believing it might bring more attention to the Philippine market. Bidshot is also free for buyers and sellers.
