Paid Launches Shipping Calculator and Shopping-Cart Solutions

Paid Inc. officially launched its ecommerce shipping-calculator and shopping-cart solutions designed to reduce online shopping-cart abandonment rates. Paid ShipCalc and ShopCart provide retailers with a solution for accurately calculating shipping costs based on true product weight and packaging/handling costs with the major carriers.

"Our new ecommerce products reflect the true shipping costs for a retailer to ensure that customers are being charged fairly," said Rich Rotman, CFO of Paid, Inc.

Paid ShipCalc can be used everywhere on the Internet, including Web sites, Web stores and classified listings. It costs $14.95 per year for small and medium-sized etailers. Custom enterprise applications are available for larger eCommerce entities.

Paid FreeCalc, a scaled down version of the Paid ShipCalc, is available for free. It enables etailers to calculate shipping rate comparisons between two USPS rates of their choice.

Paid ShopCart integrates seamlessly with Paid ShipCalc. Paid Inc. says that as customers add items to their shopping cart, the Paid ShipCart technology allows them to compare and choose from the different shipping options available from the merchant at any time in the shopping process, eliminating surprise shipping costs at checkout that may cause them to abandon their cart.

Paid ShopCart also calculates sales tax when appropriate and will be immediately updated to accommodate new sales tax laws; launches seamlessly to PayPal for easy payment with minimal clicks; and offers wizards to brand the cart.
