Over the Christmas period, eBay is hiding hundreds of thousand of pounds worth of prizes on the UK auction site. Each day, at least one clue will be released on the Christmas Treasure Hunt home page www.ebay.co.uk/treasurehunt, throughout the site and also on radio and in newspapers.

Users search the site using words associated with the clue until they find the winning listing. When they find the winning listing, they follow the instructions detailed in the listing. In the promotion, users will not be required to pay any money, and eBay will never ask users for any personal details.

For the duration of the promotion, eBay sellers will not be allowed to include in their listings the phrase "Christmas Treasure Hunt" or or any obvious derivatives of that phrase.

The promotion is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over registered on any eBay site. See Web site for details, terms and conditions.
