eBay is making changes to its Completed Item Search. The feature allows users to search for listings that have ended going back about 2 weeks. When users search the eBay site for auctions, they can limit the results to "completed items" to help determine the market value of items they are considering buying or selling.
Forthcoming changes include adding visual clues to give more information to users at a glance. eBay will add different font colors for items depending on whether they sold. The price will be shown in green for listings that ended with a winning bidder, and red for those for items that did not sell.
eBay is also adding a "Reserve Not Met" indicator for Reserve items that did not sell because the Reserve price was not met. And a new column labeled "Action" will be displayed and will include a link to "view similar items."
In addition, the column settings on the Completed Items page will no longer be customizable, and the Shipping column will be displayed permanently. eBay did not indicate whether any columns would be removed. Currently the default columns are Picture; Title; PayPal; Price; Bids; End date; and other columns available through the Customize Display feature include Shipping cost; Item number; Country; Store name; and Distance.
