Overstock Auctions Broadcasts AuctionTalk Podcast
By Ina Steiner

Overstock Auctions introduced a weekly Podcast show. The AuctionTalk Podcast features Overstock Auctions's VP Holly MacDonald-Korth and CTO Sam Peterson talking about auctions in an informal style. Podcasts are audio recordings delivered in an mp3 file. Users can send questions or topics for discussions to auctiontalk@overstock.com for future airings.

MacDonald-Korth revealed during the show that Overstock is filming a new television commercial in January that will target buyers. It will begin airing in February. Peterson said Overstock Auctions is enhancing category pages and search and working on keeping on top of capacity needs and site performance.

The show was recorded on Wednesday, December 15, a "Free Listing Day" on Overstock Auctions. MacDonald-Korth said they were up to 106,132 auction listings at the time of the recording.

Overstock Auctions is expected to announce soon that Infopia is the first auction-management service to work with the site's API (application programming interface), allowing Infopia's large ecommerce and eBay sellers to post items on Overstock Auctions using automated features.
