Online auction site MightyBids.com said it received its three millionth hit for the month of December during the holiday weekend.
"It's a milestone for us. To reach the 3 million plateau within such a short period of time reassures us that we're right when we say people are fed up with eBay and the exorbitant fees they charge to do business, said Mighty Bids spokesperson Peter Michaud. "We aim to change the way people perceive on-line buying and selling. It has to be affordable, and still have service and security."
Mighty Bids, based in Montreal, Canada, launched in 2003 and has 40,000 registered users.
