eBay is introducing changes to the way pictures in listings are processed and displayed to improve the size and appearance of pictures. eBay said the most significant change will be for eBay hosted vertically-oriented (or portrait) pictures, which will be up to 33% taller than they are currently on areas such as My eBay, search and listings pages, and Stores custom pages. In addition, square pictures will keep their square proportions, instead of being forced into rectangular dimensions.

eBay's integrated online picture-hosting solution, Picture Manager, is now available within Turbo Lister, the auction site's listing tool. Picture Manager subscribers are now able to integrate pictures from Picture Manager into Turbo Lister listings. In addition, sellers are able to upload images in Turbo Lister directly into Picture Manager as they add them to their listings.

eBay created a page for users to view its Certified Providers. eBay's announcement stated its Certified Providers are carefully screened to ensure that they can provide eBay members with services and solutions to grow their businesses. Participants must have extensive experience with eBay, pass a strict certification exam and provide a number of proven customer references that are checked by eBay. It still offers its Solutions Directory, a directory of all of the software and services available from eBay Developers. The Certified Provider Catalog includes specific information about the Certified Providers, including case studies, pricing, contact information and in some cases, videos.

eBay had some technical issues on Friday, occurring after scheduled site maintenance. Some members were unable to list items on eBay Motors and some Collectibles categories. In addition, eBay said some members might be experiencing delays receiving End of Auction emails (EOA), or might receive duplicate EOA emails. The problems were declared resolved by mid-day.
