AOL has reportedly expanded a pilot program that feeds listings from its Classifieds section to the top of AOL Search results pages in a contextual manner. AuctionBytes first reported on the pilot in September when online antiques mall TIAS.com dealers received an invitation to participate in the program (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y04/m09/i23/s02). This week, auction-management service Zoovy sent a letter inviting some of its merchants, many of them eBay sellers, to participate.

The Zoovy website says it is the first major ecommerce platform to provide integration into the AOL Classifieds Marketplace and to become a Marketplace Solutions Partner. A source familiar with the program said Zoovy sellers will be able to up-sell and cross-sell their other products to the AOL buyers who find their listings on the AOL Classifieds Marketplace.

The letter to Zoovy merchants said they would pay no listing fees during an introductory period, and cited commission fees of 6 percent. Sellers were promised "keyword targeted exposure within AOL Search and locally focused exposure within AOL Classifieds MarketPlace."
