eBay announced its online payment service PayPal has launched a local website with service designed exclusively for users in Australia (www.paypal.com.au). PayPal.com.au is integrated into eBay.com.au. PayPal had introduced Australian dollar payments earlier this month, adding to the range of currencies offered including U.S. Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling and Japanese Yen.
eBay said some of the benefits of the PayPal Australia service include local currency support; enhanced customer support; customized website; and the highest level of security available.
PayPal has more than 63 million accounts in 45 countries
