BuySafe Creates Shopping Directory of Bonded eBay Auctions

BuySafe, a company that uses surety bonds to protect consumers in online shopping transactions, has launched the BuySafe Bonded Shopping Network. The new site is a shopping search service that helps buyers find items guaranteed by sellers bonded through BuySafe.

The directory is part of the company's initiatives to get the word out to buyers about BuySafe bonded auctions. Inclusion in the directory is free and automatic for BuySafe sellers. By offering buyers a single place where they know they will have a safe shopping experience, the company is making it easier for buyers to find bonded auctions and aims to attract new buyers who may never have purchased on eBay before. BuySafe currently provides bonding on eBay and is working to provide bonding services on other venues as well.

BuySafe's service launched in 2003 and is the only company that guarantees online purchases through surety bonds for sellers. The company said a survey of buyers who have gone through a bonded auction transaction shows 95.6 percent of respondents prefer to purchase an item from a bonded seller over a non-bonded seller with ten times as many positive feedback ratings, when terms of sale and price are the same.
